Jagodina
Jagodina is a city located in central Serbia, 136 kilometres south of Belgrade. It lies on the banks of the River Belica, in the flatlands that span on both sides of the River Morava. The first time Jagodina was mentioned in history was in 1399.
Today it is a city of laughter, good hosts and kind people. Besides nice wooded environment, in the vicinity of the city are monasteries Josanica, Ravanica and Kalenic, all significant monuments of the medieval culture, while the valuable items of the older historical periods are kept in the Heritage Museum. However, Jagodina is also well known for the Museum of Naïve Painting, with works done by artists from all over the world.
Every year since 1972, the theater festival "Days of Comedy" has been held in Jagodina. The festival takes place in the Center of Culture, and it represents on of the biggest theater festivals in Serbia.
